Euro-96 Engine Management System

Euro-96 system is a very flexible racing engine management system providing a very good performance-to-cost ratio. It incorporates a comprehensive number of advanced features. The ECU can be programmed with 2 independent maps and it performs an automatic self re-mapping of the fuelling based upon the use of a linear lambda sensor in closed loop. Additional features include full throttle power shift, anti turbo lag for turbo charged engines and traction control.
The Euro-96 also features a 22 channel diagnostic circuit capable of tracing faulty sensors and incorrect data for different parameters.
Euro-96 automatically selects between high and low impedance fuel injectors, offers closed loop self-mapping fuel injection strategy and closed loop boost control strategy.
The ECU can handle either electromagnetic or Hall effect crank- and camshaft sensors. Furthermore, several individually configurable NTC temperature sensors can be attached, as well as several individually configurable 0-5 volt analogue inputs are available.

Features

  • Up to 6 cylinders, naturally aspirated or turbo charged (even / odd fire) with full sequential or grouped fuel control; RPM in excess of 18,000 RPM.

  • Two-dimensional mapping using throttle, MAP or MAF as load expression.

  • 2 independent fully driver selectable engine maps.

  • Automatic self-mapping fuel management using a lambda target map.

  • Closed loop fuel control using a standard lambda sensor.

  • Comprehensive closed loop boost control with Anti Turbo Lag strategy.

  • Variable camshaft position control.

  • 6 analogue 0-5 volt inputs and 4 NTC temperature sensor inputs (user linked to car control functions).

  • Closed loop idle speed control.

  • 3 switched inputs.

  • 2 spare PWM.

  • 1 wheel speed sensor input.

  • On-board 22 channel diagnostics.

  • Current loop link for data export to external in-car logging systems.
